The Appeal Tribunal is an independent tribunal that people can go to if they want to appeal a decision from the Workers’ Safety and Compensation Board (WSCB).

We serve all of the communities in the Yukon, and acknowledge our office operates on the traditional territory of the Kwanlin Dün First Nation and the Ta’an Kwäch’än Council.

The Tribunal has the jurisdiction to hear appeals regarding a reconsideration decision made by the WSCB when it relates to:

• Work-related Injury and Compensation

• Workplace Health and Safety

• Assessments

• Administrative Penalties

• Work Refusal

• Removal of Cause of Action

• Access to Information relating to a Claim

Before appealing to the Tribunal, you must go through the internal reconsideration process at WSCB and receive a final decision of a reconsideration panel. Completed forms should be returned to the Tribunal with a copy of the decision.
